Extension of the period of authorised stay in visa-free travel

Introduction

A foreigner who has entered under the visa-free regime is obliged to leave the Member States so as not to exceed the 90-day period of authorised stay in any 180-day period.

In the case where a longer short-term stay is necessary, it is generally necessary to obtain a temporary residence permit due to circumstances requiring a short-term stay.

In exceptional cases, in which bilateral agreements concluded by the Republic of Poland and a third country are in force, it is possible to extend the stay in visa-free travel by applying to the voivode.
