Fees

For issuing a Polish travel document for a foreigner, a fee of PLN 350 is charged. A fee of PLN 350 is charged for the exchange of the document, except in the case of the loss of the document or its culpable destruction – in these cases, a fee of PLN 700 is charged.

Fees for issuing or replacing a Polish travel document for a foreigner are not charged if the issued or replaced document contained technical defects.

A reduction in the fee (in the amount of 50%) for issuing or replacing a Polish travel document for a foreigner is granted to foreigners:

  • who are in a difficult financial situation;

  • whose purpose of stay is to receive education in a secondary school and a higher education institution on the territory of the Republic of Poland;

  • minors who, on the date of submission of the application for the document, are under 16 years of age.

The documents required to obtain a reduction in the fee for issuing or replacing a Polish travel document for a foreigner are:

  • a certificate from the competent social welfare authority on the use of cash benefits from social assistance at a given time;

  • a certificate confirming that they have been received at a given time of secondary or higher education;

  • a copy of the birth certificate of a minor foreigner, and if it is impossible to obtain it – a travel document or other identity document confirming the age of the minor foreigner.
