Declaration

Introduction

Citizens of 6 countries, i.e.:

  • Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, and Ukraine

- benefit from simplifications in access to Poland labour market as part of the so-called declaration system.

They can work in Poland without the need to have a work permit if:

  • the employer will submit, together with the necessary attachments, on a special form a declaration of intention to employ them, which will be registered as part of a specific procedure (the declaration can be submitted to the District Labour Office in a traditional way or online – via the praca.gov.pl portal)

  • and the foreigner has a residence title in the Republic of Poland, entitling them to perform work in Poland.

This work cannot be qualified as seasonal work, and the period of employment cannot exceed 6 months in the following 12 months.

The use of this procedure significantly accelerates the legalization of the foreigner's employment, because in such a case the so-called labour market test is not carried out, i.e., verification carried out by the PUP, whether there is no one in the registers of the unemployed, ready to take up work, to whom the employer could entrust work.
