  3. No refund of the stamp duty

    No refund of the stamp duty in the event of refusal to grant a residence permit, refusal to change a temporary residence and work permit, refusal to extend a visa or refusal to issue a Schengen visa at the border, and in the event of discontinuation of proceedings in any of the cases.

    United Kingdom nationals and their families who are beneficiaries of the EU-UK Withdrawal Agreement can continue to apply for a residence permit containing an endorsement referring to the Withdrawal Agreement (if they have not already done so).

  5. Revocation of the state of epidemic emergency – consequences for the legal situation of foreigners

    As of 31 July 2023, the special arrangements for foreigners introduced in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic will cease to apply. This is a consequence of the cancellation of the state of epidemic emergency on the territory of Poland.

  6. Changes to the regulations governing the granting of long-term EU resident's residence permits

    One of the requirements for granting a residence permit for a long-term resident of the European Union is that the foreigner must have a confirmed command of the Polish language. New regulations in this regard have been in force since 24 June.
