At the stage of preparing the application

Proceeding to complete the application without first familiarization with the rules and procedure

Before you proceed to complete and submit an application in the case, it is recommended that you read the information posted on the MOS portal in the "Read the information" and "Avoid errors" sections.

This will allow you to consciously and correctly assess your situation in terms of choosing the purpose and basis for further stay in Poland and the possibility of meeting the requirements for granting a given type of residence permit. Thanks to this, you will reduce or completely eliminate the risk associated with submitting a given type of application, in the event of the inability to initiate proceedings in such a case or obtain a given permit, as well as choose the most advantageous solution in the situation in which you find yourself. The information and guidance contained in these sections will help you understand the rules and procedure, and thus properly prepare for the completion and submission of the application and fully control the course of its examination. They will help you avoid mistakes and mistakes that may determine the outcome of the proceedings or affect its extension.

It is also recommended that you read the instruction on the rules of conduct and the rights and obligations available in connection with the proceedings. You will receive such an instruction from an employee of the department competent in matters of foreigners at the voivodeship office during a visit aimed at submitting an application or, if you give your consent, it will be sent to your e-mail address or you will receive information about the website where you will be able to access it. Providing a foreigner with a written instruction in a language understandable to them is the implementation of the obligation resulting from Article 7 of the Act on Foreigners. Regardless of this, you can download such an instruction by electronic means yourself(it is available m.in in the "Avoid errors" section in the "Materials and publications" category) or ask the competent voivode to make it available before submitting the application.
